Georgia shooting: Four people, including a woman, have died in a shooting incident in Georgia, United States. The attack happened at 10.45 a.m on Sunday in Hampton, which is 35 miles from Atlanta. Hampton Police declined to reveal the identities of the deceased.
Respecting privacy
“We’re not releasing the name of the victims at this time to ensure that the family has time to be notified and to for them to grieve in private before it becomes public,” the police department said. Chef of Hampton Police James Turner said that he suspects Andre Longmore to be the assailant. A hunt is on for Longmore, a Hampton resident, who was seen driving a black Acadia SUV near the place of the incident. “This is a sad day in Hampton. It’s just not normal for us. And as a community, we will grieve together as a Police Department,” Turner said. He added, “We will do everything in our power to ensure that the person is brought to justice.”
Still Armed
Four arrest warrants have been issued for the arrest of Andre Longhorn,40. Police have also announced a reward of USD 10,000 for any information on the suspected assailant. According to Fox News, the suspect has a black handgun and the local police have urged people to call 911 in case someone sees Longhorne. The police say Longhorne is 5-foot 10-inch tall and is wearing a black shirt with red tone. The New York Times quoted Turner as saying the vehicle did not belong to Longhorne. Meanwhile, Henry County sheriff Reginald Scandrett vowed to hunt Longhorne down and bring him to justice. Addressing the alleged murderer the sheriff said, “We will hunt you down in any hole that you may be residing in and bring you into custody.”
