The video is going viral for unusual reasons, as Indian netizens are trolling the Pakistani version of the show after watching its promo.
Viral Video of Shark Tank Pakistan Promo Sparks Trolls Among Indian Netizens
The viral promo of Shark Tank Pakistan, posted on the Instagram account “sharktankpakistan,” showcases the first deal made on the show. The video displays three sharks coming together to offer a deal to an entrepreneur. However, the offer that grabbed everyone’s attention—and led to widespread trolling—was 75 lakhs Pakistani Rupees (PKR) for 30% equity, which the entrepreneur accepted.
Indian netizens quickly converted the amount into Indian Rupees, which totals around 22 lakhs, according to Google. The modest deal led to a wave of humorous responses from Indian audiences, with the promo going viral in no time.
Indian Users Flood Social Media with Trolls
The promo of Shark Tank Pakistan, uploaded just two days ago on Wednesday, has amassed over 1.4 million views. The comments section is flooded with jokes and trolls from Indian users. One user sarcastically commented, “Bhai tum log k pass bhi paisa hai?” Another wrote, “Bhai in paiso se phle chawal kharidega.” A third added, “It’s not Shark Tank; it’s Machli Tank.” Other users chimed in with comments like, “Cheque bounced,” and “Ghodo ke race Mein ab gadhe bhi Aa gaye.”
Many viewers also made funny comparisons with Shark Tank India’s judges, with one user saying, “Firstly why is Namita from chor bazar talking like that? Secondly why they degraded fashion sense of Anupam Mittal from divorce.com.”
Shark Tank’s Global Roots and Evolution
Shark Tank’s origin traces back to Japan, where it first aired as Money Tigers (also known as Tiger of Money) in 2001. It later evolved into Dragon’s Den, and eventually into Shark Tank, gaining global fame. This iconic format has been adopted in multiple countries, and now Pakistan has its own version. However, the promo’s reception shows it still has some work to do in winning over audiences, especially in India.
