US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home in San Francisco has been attacked. The attacker attacked her husband Paul Pelosi, who was in the house, with a hammer. The Democratic speaker’s office said in a statement that 82-year-old Paul Pelosi is expected to make a full recovery. Nancy Pelosi’s spokesman, Drew Hamill, said the attacker was in custody and the motive for the attack was being investigated. A spokeswoman said Speaker Nancy Pelosi was in Washington at the time of the attack.
Last month, Nancy Pelosi provoked China by making a controversial visit to Taiwan. After his visit, China had fired several missiles over Taiwan and also aggressively deployed its navy. Nancy Pelosi is counted among the sharp leaders of America, who is not afraid of anyone.
Attacker arrested, police finding out the motive
San Francisco’s Capitol Police said Special Agents agents from its field office in California rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident. The FBI has also been dispatched to assist with a threat assessment of the Capital Police on the East Coast San Francisco police said an attacker had been arrested, but the motive for the attack was not known. Efforts are also being made to gather information whether someone else was involved in this attack that the attacker was the only one. A large number of special agents, FBI and Capital Police officers are currently stationed outside Pelosi’s home.
Pelosi bought a three-story red brick townhouse near Pacific Heights in San Francisco in 1987. The house was attacked and ransacked even after Congress passed a stimulus bill in January 2021. At that time a pig’s head was left on the sidewalk of their house. This attack preceded the attack on the US Capitol on 6 January 2021.
