Imran Khan: After their commander was taken into custody on Tuesday, Imran Khan’s supporters attacked and robbed the Corps Commander’s House in Lahore. The peacocks that were housed inside the home were among the many items the demonstrators took away. A man can be seen clutching a peacock in his arms and claiming that he took it since it was purchased with “citizen’s money (awam ka paisa)” in a video that Voice of America (VOA) Urdu posted on Twitter.
Protests Erupt Nationwide as Imran Khan’s Arrest Sparks Outrage and Violence
Imran Khan’s supporters immediately after his imprisonment took to the streets in great numbers, which led to the implementation of Section 144 throughout the nation. Additionally, they broke into the Army headquarters in Rawalpindi and the house of the Corps Commander in Lahore Cantt. Some protesters yelled at security guards outside the home of corps commanders, “Kaha tha Imran Khan ko na chedna (Had warned, don’t harass Imran Khan)”.

Imran Khan Supporters Set Fire to Radio Pakistan Headquarters
Unprecedented events were seen all throughout Pakistan as demonstrators broke down the campus’ main entrance and stormed the military headquarters in Rawalpindi. In several areas of Pakistan, gunfire resounded, and black smoke billowed from locations where Imran Khan’s supporters had set fire. Pakistan’s law and order situation is still in shambles, but the Islamabad High Court declared Imran Khan’s arrest to be valid. Under the direction of provincial party president Muhammad Iqbal, PTI members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembled on the streets of the Lakki Marwat district to protest the arrest of Imran Khan. Additionally, the Peshawar headquarters of Radio Pakistan was set on fire by Khan’s supporters.
