Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan made headlines on Wednesday after being granted bail in a corruption case, but it was a video circulating on social media that garnered even more attention. The video revealed Khan’s appearance without hair dye and makeup, presenting a starkly different image of the ex-cricketer.
Imran Khan’s Legal Battles: Bail Granted Amidst Appearance Revelations
In the short clip, Khan is depicted seated alongside two other individuals, appearing noticeably older and frail. Without his signature long black dyed hair and cosmetic enhancements, the 71-year-old appears almost unrecognizable.
Khan’s legal challenges stem from a series of cases in Pakistan, following his unprecedented removal from office via a no-confidence motion—the first such instance in Pakistan’s history.
One of the prominent cases involves Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, who stand accused of receiving valuable land assets as a bribe from a real estate magnate in connection with a corruption scandal worth 190 million pounds.
The background of the Al-Qadir Trust case sheds light on the substantial sums involved, with approximately 190 million pounds—equivalent to around Rs 50 billion—being repatriated to Pakistan by the UK’s National Crime Agency from a Pakistani property tycoon. Rather than depositing the funds into the national treasury, Khan’s administration permitted the tycoon to utilize the money to settle a significant fine imposed by the Supreme Court, totaling approximately Rs 450 billion.

Reportedly, as part of this arrangement, the tycoon purportedly allocated roughly 57 acres of land to a trust established by Khan and Bushra Bibi for the establishment of Al-Qadir University in Sohawa, located in the Jhelum district of Punjab.
Since August of the previous year, Khan has been incarcerated in the heavily fortified Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where he awaits resolution of the legal proceedings against him.
