Iran Protests: Several videos of Iranians removing clergy’ turbans have recently gone viral on social media. These occurrences are a part of the continuing anti-hijab demonstration that began after Mahsa Amini, 22, died while being held on September 17th. The morality police, who strictly enforced the hijab laws, detained her.
One video shows a woman approaching a cleric who is strolling down the street and removing his turban.

Another video shows a young teenager passing by knocking a cleric’s turban off his head as he stands at a bus stop.
The clergy who have ruled the nation since 1979 have come under fire from the people as a result of Amini’s death in custody. Clerical authorities said that the continued demonstrations threatened the security of the Islamic Republic.
Security personnel fired shots and beat students who disobeyed a Revolutionary Guards ultimatum and the president’s warning as the protests over Iran’s tight dress code entered their seventh week.
