IDF said total 37 projectiles were fired from Gaza Strip at southern Israel, on May 2. News agencies also said Israel carried out airstrikes on Gaza’s Hamas in the early hours of Wednesday.

Striker dies in custody
Israel’s Prisons Service said the Palestinian hunger striker, Khader Adnan was found unconscious in his cell and taken to a hospital. However, he was declared dead after efforts to revive him failed. This is said to be the first such death in more than three decades.
Hours after Adnan’s death, hundreds of people took to the streets in blockaded Gaza and the occupied West Bank’s Ramallah. Palestinian leaders called the death an assassination by Israel. The armed group Islamic Jihad warned Israel that it will “pay the price for this crime”.
A ‘deliberate assassination’

According to reports, there were multiple airstrikes on several parts of the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military confirmed their targeted “Hamas training camps”.
Taking to Twitter, Israel’s army said these attacks were a ‘reality for many in Israel’. It said, “Dozens of rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israeli civilians, leaving them running to bomb shelters. This has been the reality for many in Israel today.”
