Israel Palestine Conflict: On Sunday, the Israeli military issued a 3-hour ultimatum for residents in the northern Gaza area to evacuate and relocate to the south in anticipation of a potential ground incursion into Gaza. Senior army officials have cautioned that this region would become an “active combat zone” once the operation commences.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) had previously disclosed its readiness for a “coordinated” assault on the Gaza Strip, involving air, ground, and naval forces. This announcement followed a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to troops near the Gaza border, during which he stated, “more is coming.”
Simultaneously, the military confirmed that they had conducted air raids in Gaza on Saturday night, resulting in the elimination of Billal al-Qedra, a prominent commander of Hamas’s elite military wing, the Nukhba force.
Amid these developments, tens of thousands of Palestinians are fleeing northern Gaza out of fear of an Israeli ground offensive, and the total casualties have exceeded 3,600.
