Israel Palestine Conflict: ‘Not Naive, Will Do Security Check…’ Elon Musk’s Caution in Starlink’s Gaza Ventures

Israel Palestine Conflict

Israel Palestine Conflict: Elon Musk emphasised on Sunday that not a single Starlink terminal has attempted to connect from Gaza and that he will undertake a thorough security check before turning on even a single Starling, even as Israel cautioned SpaceX’s owner against giving communication support to Gaza. Musk went on to say that the “company is not so naive.”

No Starlink Connection Attempts from Gaza-Musk

According to the American millionaire, as of right now, no Starlink terminal has tried to connect from Gaza. The owner of X wrote in a recent post, “If one does, we will take extraordinary measures to confirm that it is used only for purely humanitarian reasons. Moreover, we will do a security check with both the US and Israeli governments before turning on even a single terminal.” Following Musk’s promise to build communication lines in Gaza on Saturday, Israel declared that it “will use all means at its disposal to fight this.”

Israel’s Minister Shlomo Karhi Expresses Concerns

Israel’s minister of information, Shlomo Karhi, expressed concerns that Hamas terrorists would exploit Musk‘s communication links for “terrorist activities” and predicted that “HAMAS will use it for terrorist activities.” “we know it, and Musk knows it. HAMAS is ISIS. Perhaps Musk would be willing to condition it with the release of our abducted babies, sons, daughters, and elderly people. All of them! By then, my office will cut any ties with Starlink,” he said. The Tesla CEO had earlier declared, “Starlink will support connectivity to internationally recognised aid organisations in Gaza.”

Starlink Terminals in Gaza

Israel cut off the besieged enclave’s internet capabilities on Friday, cutting all communication between the nearly 2.3 million Palestinians and the outside world. After Hamas, an Islamist outfit, slaughtered 1,400 Israelis on October 7, the deadliest day in the nation’s 75-year history, Israel intensified its embargo and launched an onslaught on Gaza for three weeks.
