Israel-Palestinian Conflict: Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. In wake of the bombing at a Gaza hospital that claimed innocent lives, Prime Minister Modi expressed his condolences.

Prime Minister Modi declared that India would keep providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people despite the continued conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“Shared our deep concern at the terrorism, violence and deteriorating security situation in the region. Reiterated India’s long-standing principled position on the Israel-Palestine issue,” after speaking to Palestinian Authority President, PM Modi said.

Hamas’ surprise attack:

Since Hamas’ surprise attack on October 7, the war between Israel and the terrorist organisation has intensified. Israel retaliated by declaring war on Hamas and attacking its bases in the Gaza Strip as well as Hamas troops.

World leaders have strongly condemned attack:

Meanwhile, world leaders have strongly condemned an explosion at a Gaza hospital that claimed hundreds of innocent lives. The Israeli military denied any involvement in the incident, despite Hamas’s claims that an Israeli airstrike was the reason behind a devastating explosion.

In response to the devastating deaths in the attack on the Gaza hospital, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday, “Civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of serious and continuing concern. Those involved should be held responsible.”
