Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian says, “With regard to Japan’s negative comments on Hong Kong, China has made solemn representations. As to whether it will affect President Xi’s visit to Japan, for some time, China has not discussed major issues with the Japanese side. Some Japanese people’s hype on related topics are meaningless. We have no time and no interest for them.
