Japanese foreign minister Yoshimasa Hayash enjoys Delhi Metro ride during two-day visit to India

Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayash began his two-day India visit with a metro ride. In pictures shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, he could be seen using taking a metro ride with his security entourage and other officials. As per the Japanese Deputy Press Secretary, Yukiko Okano travelled to three to four metro stations during his ride. 

Japanese Foreign Minister takes Metro ride

The Japanese foreign minister was seen Kicking off his two-day India visit with a Delhi Metro ride. A few pictures shared by the Japanese Foreign Ministry show the Japanese Minister engulfed in a chat with his security entourage and other officials.

‘Japan an exemplary moderniser for India’

Yoshimasa arrived in Delhi on Thursday evening. On Friday, he attended the India-Japan Forum with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar. During his address at the India-Japan forum, the Indian minister said that Japan has had a huge impact on India in more than one way. “Japan is an exemplary moderniser for India,” he said. 

“What really does Japan means to India? Japan is in many ways the exemplary moderniser… It is an example of relevance. It’s also a country for which there is a lot of goodwill in history. Today under PM Modi, we also had great modernisation. A self-reliant India,” he said. 

Talks on India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership 

The Japanese minister also indulged himself in a wide-range talks with Jaishankar to discuss various aspects to strengthen ties between India and Japan. 

This marks Hayashi’s second visit to India in the last five months and the 15th India-Japan Ministerial Strategic Dialogue.
