King Charles III: The police detained a 23-year-old man on Wednesday for tossing eggs at King Charles and Queen Consort, Camilla, as they were on a walkabout in York. He was taken into custody on suspicion of upsetting the peace.
As the King and the Queen consort were being greeted by municipal officials when the accused, a University of York student, was overheard yelling, “This country was created on the blood of slaves,” and “not my king,” while hurling the eggs.
The monarch, nevertheless, ignored the man as he was led away from the scene, and the eggs missed him.

According to the sources, the institution declared that it was “appalled” by the photographs and will be evaluating the matter in accordance with its misconduct processes.
However, the throng began chanting “God save the king,” while several shouted “shame on you” at the demonstrator.
The accused is still being held by police in the interim.
