Nepal Plane Crash Updates: An plane crashed on January 15 in the Pokhara region of Nepal, killing a number of people according to an army official. Rescue operations are in progress. In response to the country’s worst plane crash in over 30 years, the government of Nepal has declared tomorrow a day of national mourning.
At 10:33 am, the 9N-ANC ATR-72 of Yeti Airlines left Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. In the Himalayan country, Pokhara is a popular tourist destination.
“ATRbeen informed that an accident occurred in Nepal involving anATR72-500 aircraft. Our thoughts are with the affected individuals.TheATRspecialists are fully engaged to support both the investigation andthe customer,” it said.

The plane crashed on the bank of the Seti River, midway between the old and new airports in Pokhara, while trying to land. There were four crew members and a total of 68 passengers.
Search operation at crash site to resume on Monday
Nepal airport spokesperson said that the search operation at crash site will resume on Monday. Bodies of the remaining four individuals are still not found.
