United States: A large, unidentified white balloon was spotted on Monday approximately 500 miles to the east of Honolulu, Hawaii, with an estimated altitude between 40,000 and 50,000 feet. Several commercial flights flying over the region reported its presence via ACARS, according to sources.
No official response from United States
This sighting comes just days after US officials claimed that a Chinese “spy” balloon that was previously downed and targeting Hawaii was blown off course. Despite this claim, there has been no confirmation from Air Traffic Control or other US officials regarding the current balloon sighting.
Multiple pilots have reported seeing the mysterious object, raising questions about its origin and potential risk to the public. The US military has recently intercepted and shot down several balloons, adding to the heightened concern surrounding this latest sighting. The identity and purpose of the balloon remain unknown, leaving many to speculate about its possible implications.

Similar flying objects spotted few days ago
On February 11, the US and Canada coordinated to down an unidentified flying object in Canadian airspace, marking the third such incident in just over a week. The first object downed was a Chinese “spy” balloon that entered the US through Alaska, followed by another object over Alaska. Despite the lack of information regarding the origin and purpose of these objects, the US military has taken swift action to shoot them down. No further details about the object downed over Canada have been released by either country.
