US Earthquake: The Alaska Peninsula region was affected by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Following the earthquake, the US tsunami warning system issued a tsunami threat. According to USGS, the earthquake had a depth of 9.3 km (5.78 miles).
Recent Earthquake Near Eagle River Stirs Reminder of Previous Quake
This occurs after a little earthquake that shook Anchorage, Alaska, two weeks ago. According to USGS, the earthquake was felt two miles south of Eagle River and around 12 miles south of the city. However, no accidents or damage were noted at the time. The earthquake, which was 17.5 miles deep and followed another one that was detected on the West Coast, occurred, according to USGS data.
