Vladimair Putin, the president of Russia, is probably going to attend G 20 summit in India next year. Svetlana Lukash, Russia’s G 20 sherpa Svetlana Lukash, said in a statement to the media that she was unsure of Putin’s ultimate choice but added that the most likely scenario is that he will attend the global event in India in India. She continued by saying that since the event was set for September of next year, hence it was not fair to announce Moscow’s final decision in December this year.

Although world leaders including US President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian PM Narendra Modi, and others attended the most recent G-20 summit in Bali, Putin opted to skip the gathering.

Lukash expressed her optimism that Moscow would attend every gathering and highlighted the importance of Russia’s participation in order to voice its concerns.
It is important to note that on December 1 of this year, India formally assumed G-20 Presidency. India plans to host approximately 200 large-mega events during its G20 Presidency, and the G20 Summit will take place from September 9–10 of the following year.
The G 20 or Group of 20 is an intergovernmental forum of world’s most developed and developing economies.
It includes Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China , France , Germany , India, Indonesia, Italy , Japan, the Republic of Korea , Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey the UK, the USA and the European Union.
Earlier last month, Indonesia handed over the G 20 Presidency to India in the presence of PM Narendra Modi at the Bali summit for the coming year.
