In his first speech after becoming Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for the National Assembly to pass resolutions supporting the freedom of Kashmiris and Palestinians.

However, he also acknowledged the tough financial situation Pakistan is facing. He admitted that the National Assembly’s expenses are currently covered by loans, which poses a significant challenge for the country.

Economic Downturn and IMF Assistance

Pakistan is grappling with a severe economic downturn, marked by inflation and a shortage of foreign reserves. Despite securing a $3 billion loan from the IMF, the country is still struggling to stabilize its economy.

Imran Khan’s Call for Election Audit

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, currently in jail due to corruption charges, has demanded an audit of the disputed elections. He argues that independent candidates supported by his party would have won if the alleged rigging hadn’t occurred.
