Strong earthquake tremors were felt in China’s southern Xinjiang on Monday. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 5.9 on the Richter scale. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) has given this information. According to EMSC, the quake occurred 111 km southeast of Aral in Xinjiang. News agency ANI quoted EMSC as saying that the earthquake occurred at 05:49 local time. However, the number of casualties caused by the earthquake is not yet known.
Monday started with a strong earthquake in China. On the other hand, strong tremors of earthquake were also felt in Kyrgyzstan in the early hours of Monday.
According to information, tremors were felt at 5:49 am local time in China. The agency said the quake occurred 111 kilometers southeast of Aral. A 5.8 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in Kyrgyzstan. It is not known what damage was caused by the earthquake at both the places.
Pakistan and Iran shook by earthquake
Earlier on Sunday, there was an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude in Pakistan. Such strong tremors of earthquake can bring great devastation. This earthquake was felt from Islamabad to many parts of Punjab. On the other hand, on Saturday night, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake caused massive destruction in Iran. A large number of houses were damaged and buildings were destroyed. According to the information, 7 people died and about 440 people were injured in the earthquake. Several parts of the world have been experiencing frequent earthquakes since the beginning of January.
