The footage also reveals the presence of emergency vehicles encircling the on fire tower as spectators assemble.
Whether the tower block is a hotel or a residence has been the subject of conflicting claims, and the fire’s origin is still unknown.
The most recent videos taken on the site demonstrate that the fire is now mostly extinguished and under control.
Days prior to the occurrence, a similar fire also started in the same city neighbourhood.
Three persons were murdered and another was hurt in a massive explosion that occurred last weekend in a Fikirtepe residential building as a result of a suspected gas leak.
“The explosion erupted on the top level of the structure and the fire spread to a neighbouring building,” stated Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya of that blaze.
The identity of the fourth individual, a foreigner, was unknown.

Only one week separated the two fires that destroyed the same area of the city.
At 7 o’clock that evening in the Fikirtepe neighbourhood, an explosion on the second level of a three-story structure started the first fire of the day.
After several explosions, it moved to the two buildings next to it, but after approximately an hour, firemen were able to put it under control. According to Ali Yerlikaya, a ten-year-old girl and her 68-year-old grandfather perished along with another person, and the child’s father was hurt as a result of smoke inhalation.
