Twitter Blue: Twitter’s web users can once again sign up for its Twitter Blue subscription service. Most likely, the iOS version won’t launch right away. The conventional Blue tick that was given to official accounts has been replaced with a new “gold” coloured checkmark for specific business accounts. This gold checkmark is a component of a brand-new service called Twitter Blue for Business that uses the gold checkmark rather of the standard blue one.
Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, also declared in a tweet that he will eliminate all legacy blue checks in the coming months and that “the mechanism in which they were given out was corrupt and absurd.”
In the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, the service is now only available online. Twitter intends to grow even more during the next few days.
On numerous media and commercial accounts, the ‘gold’ tick is already discernible. Following the failure of the initial launch last month, Twitter Blue is being re-launched along with this new gold tick. When Twitter Blue first launched, anyone could essentially receive a “blue tick.” As a result, numerous brands were impersonated on the network, and some phoney accounts also posted inaccurate information.

Online subscription for Twitter Blue is now being rolled out.
The new Twitter Blue subscription is now available online for $8. Because Twitter will be required to pay Apple a 30% fee, the rate for iOS will be higher ($11). Musk has previously tweeted about this “hidden tax” and stated that he would have created his own phone and operating system if Apple had decided to remove Twitter from the App Store. This conflict with Apple only lasted a short while; Musk later announced on social media that, following a meeting with CEO Tim Cook, all issues with Cupertino had been resolved.

What does Twitter Blue new offer?
Information on the new subscription service has been announced on Twitter’s official account. A user’s account will have access to subscriber-only features like as the ability to “edit tweets, 1080p video uploads, reader mode, and a blue checkmark” when they subscribe, according to the notice. This blue tick, however, is now only given once your account has been examined. Additionally, it appears like Twitter is placing more restrictions on who can sign up for the service. For instance, the business has stated that in order to use Twitter Blue, a “account must be at least 90 days old” and have a verified phone number.
To assist reduce the visibility of frauds, spam, and bots, “subscribers with the blue checkmark will get priority ranking in search, mentions, and responses,” according to the thread. Most crucially, once they receive a blue checkmark, “Twitter Blue subscribers will not be able to modify their display and user names.” According to Twitter, a “new mechanism” will be introduced “soon for any display and user name modifications.”
Twitter Blue won’t be “ad-free,” but users may start to see fewer of them in the future. For corporate users on the network, a new service called Twitter Blue for Business is now being tested. Users who subscribe to this service “get a gold checkmark that certifies the account as belonging to an official business on Twitter.”
Additionally, Twitter might give some accounts on the service an official badge. In the blog post, it is stated that “The Official profile label may be applied to government accounts (institutional accounts, elected or appointed officials, and multilateral organisations)*, specific political organisations like political parties, commercial companies including business partners, major brands, media outlets and publishers, and some other public figures.”
The platform may “show a unique designation” for “state-affiliated media and government accounts” in the interim.
