Twitter to halted its blue tick subscription on Friday
The rise of phoney accounts with the verification tick prompted Twitter to halt its blue tick subscription on Friday. Twitter used to solely give public personalities, such as journalists and politicians, the blue tick mark.
On November 9, Twitter began rolling out Twitter Blue to users in the US, the UK, and a few other nations. The programme, which provided users with a validated badge for free, cost $7.99 in the US. It’s most likely cost Rs 719 in India.
A prompt to sign up for Twitter Blue had begun to appear for some Indian Twitter users.
