UK deputy PM Dominic Raab resigns

Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab has resigned from his post on Friday. A formal complaint has been made against him for intimidation.

Investigation is going on in this matter. In such a situation, Dominic Raab wrote a letter informing British PM Rishi Sunak about his resignation.

Writing a letter to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Dominic Raab said he was resigning from his post until the investigation was completed but would continue to support the government. Resigning, the Deputy Prime Minister said that I had said earlier also that I am ready for the investigation, if any of the threats are found in the investigation, then I am guilty. For the time being, I have resigned so that the investigation is not affected.

During his resignation, Dominic Raab said that this investigation has set a dangerous precedent. This will encourage complaints against politicians and ministers in the UK. Whose impact will be on the government and the people of Britain. The decision to investigate should not have been taken in such a hurry.

Investigation started after two complaints

After Rishi Sunak took over as the British Prime Minister, Raab is the third such prominent person, who has to be thrown out of the cabinet for his bad behavior. It may be known that after receiving two complaints of alleged intimidation against Raab, PM Sunak had decided to investigate them.

Significantly, the sword of dismissal was already hanging over Raab. In such a situation, Sunak’s Conservative Party could suffer losses in the local elections to be held on 4 May. Earlier, Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab himself resigned.
