Ukraine President: As Volodymyr Zelensky ‘s convoy was passing through Kyiv, a motorist slammed into one of the vehicles, but the president did not suffer any injuries, according to his spokesperson early on Thursday morning.
At 1:22 AM local time (22:22 GMT), Sergiy Nikiforov, the president of Ukraine’s spokesman, made a post on Facebook stating that “In Kyiv, a passenger car collided with the car of the President of Ukraine and escort vehicles”. However, the exact timings of the accident were not classified. “The president was examined by the doctor, no serious injuries were found” he said. He added that the accident will be investigated.

Zelensky releases a statement motivating neitizens
Zelensky said he had just returned from the region surrounding Kharkiv in his nightly televised address, adding that “almost the entire region is de-occupied” following a lightning counter attack to drive out Russian troops. A video, too, of the address was posted shortly after the accident.
“It was an unprecedented movement of our soldiers — the Ukrainians once again managed to do what many thought was impossible,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.
With Kyiv’s forces driving out Russian troops from large portions of the east, the conflict in Ukraine is moving to a very crucial stage. This development appears to pose a severe threat to Russia’s desire to annex the complete region of Donbas.
