US-Israel Relations: Following Iran’s retaliatory drone and missile attack on Israel, US President Joe Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the phone on Saturday night, according to the White House, which also stated that a transcript of the discussion will be available. Additionally, US soldiers have begun to fire down Tehran’s drones that are carrying explosives.

Israel’s ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, comments on Iran’s retaliatory strike against Israel and the civilian losses it caused, “…Iran is the financer, trainer of Hamas…What happened yesterday is that Iran turned it from a war by proxy to a direct attack on Israel…They fired 331 different kinds of rockets, cruise missiles…with the help of some friends of our region, but mostly by the capability of Israeli defence forces and air force, we were able to intercept 99% of incoming rockets…There was unfortunately 1 casualty…”
Celebrating Successful Air Defense Against Iran’s Attack
Israel celebrated on Sunday its effective air defences against Iran‘s unprecedented onslaught, claiming that it and its allies stopped 99 percent of the more than 300 drones and missiles that were fired in its direction. However, there is still a great deal of anxiety in the region due to worries about a potential Israeli counterattack.
