Further Bauer stated, “to his home to allow DOJ to conduct a search of the entire premises for potential vice-presidential records and potential classified material,”

Special counsel Robert Hur, who was appointed during the investigation, is looking into how the president and his team handled Obama-era classified documents discovered in Biden’s private possession.
According to the White House, Biden’s lawyers discovered all of the documents discovered prior to the DOJ’s search on Friday. According to publicly available information, the latest search was the first time federal law enforcement authorities searched for government documents at Biden’s private addresses.
Republicans have compared the investigation to the ongoing investigation into how former President Donald Trump handled classified documents after leaving office. The White House has stated that Biden’s team has assisted authorities in their investigation and has turned over those documents.
Trump resisted until an FBI raid on his Florida resort in August.
The search raises the legal and political stakes for the president, who has previously stated that the discovery of classified material at his home and former office would be deemed insignificant.

Biden said on Thursday that he has “no regrets” about not publicly disclosing the discovery of classified documents at his former office before the midterm elections, and that he believes the matter will be resolved.
“There is no there, there,” Biden told reporters on Thursday during a trip to California.
Trump has complained that since the discovery of Biden’s documents, Justice Department investigators have been treating his successor unfairly.
