US: According to police officials, two people have died and many people have been wounded in three separate mass shootings in the United States. These shootings happened on Sunday and Saturday.
The Sunday violence in St Louis, Missouri, claimed the life of a teenager and nine others were wounded. There were no details about the name of the teenager and the condition of the wounded. The attack happened at about 1.45 a.m.
In another shooting incident which took place in Willowbrook, Illinois, one person died and 19 others were wounded. Authorities did not divulge the name of the dead person. No details were given about the wounded either.
The Willowbrook mass shooting occurred at 12.30 a.m. on Sunday.
CNN reports that the Willowbrook shooting occurred when a “gathering was celebrating Juneteenth, the day which marks the emancipation of Black people after the Civil War. “
The Willowbrook and St Louis shootings have followed after another mass shooting incident which took place in Carson, California. Eight people were wounded in this incident on early Saturday.
The Carson shooting occurred shortly after midnight on Saturday. Victims were between 16 and 24 years of age. Five victims had wounds on their head, back and the upper and lower parts of the body.

According to Congressional Research Service, mass shootings involve“4 or more victims at one or more locations close to one another.”
The Guardian says “There have been more than 305 mass shootings in the US so far this year as of Sunday morning.”
Mass shootings have been rising in the US recently.
Why do mass shootings happen?
There can be several reasons behind these crimes. A report published by the US Secret Service says 93% of the assailants had dealt with personal issues like divorce, job loss or health issues.
