Raghav Chadha Condemns Arrest of ISKCON Priests in Bangladesh
The arrest of two ISKCON priests on November 29 has further escalated tensions between India and Bangladesh. The priests, Adipurush Shyam Das and Ranganath Das Brahmachari, were detained by Bangladeshi authorities. They were arrested while returning from a meeting with spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das. Earlier, Chinmoy Krishna Das had been arrested on charges of sedition.
Raghav Chadha strongly condemned the arrests, stating that such actions reflect the increasing vulnerability of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. He highlighted the need for immediate action to protect Hindu community.

Radha Raman, the Vice President of ISKCON Kolkata, confirmed the arrests of the priests. He also reported that Chinmoy Krishna Das’ secretary had been detained. The ISKCON community is deeply concerned about these developments. Recently, rioters attacked an ISKCON center in Bangladesh, causing significant damage. The Hindu community in the country now feels vulnerable and helpless.

Hindu Minority Targeted Amidst Rising Tensions in Bangladesh
The recent violence against the Hindu minority began on November 25. Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested after allegedly raising a saffron flag above Bangladesh's national flag in Chittagong. This act triggered a wave of violent clashes across the region.
On November 27, the situation escalated further in Chattogram. A fatal confrontation involving a lawyer occurred, adding to the tensions. These incidents highlight the growing discrimination against Hindus in Bangladesh. Raghav Chadha’s statement calls attention to this alarming pattern of violence.
