Iran Announces Visa-Free Entry for Indian Tourists to Boost Tourism
Under this policy, Indian tourists can enter Iran via air without obtaining a visa, allowing them a maximum stay of 15 days. This provision is applicable to individuals with ordinary passports and can be utilized once every six months. It’s important to note that the 15-day duration cannot be extended. However, those with specific purposes like education or business will still need to obtain a visa under the relevant categories.
The visa-free policy by the Iranian government is subject to four conditions, with the primary emphasis on the frequency and duration of visits for ordinary passport holders. This strategic move aims to enhance cultural exchange and foster closer ties between Iran and India in the realm of tourism.
