Vladimir Putin: According to Euro Weekly News, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has survived an attempted assassination. On Wednesday, the General GVR Telegram channel had posted the information, per the sources. However, the exact time of the incident is still unknown.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February of this year, Mr. Putin’s health and safety have been the subject of rumors. Not just this, the Russian President Vladimir Putin himself said in 2017 that he had escaped atleast five assassination attempts till then. According to reports, Putin’s limousine’s left front wheel was struck with a loud bang. The vehicle was immediately driven to safety even though smoke was coming from it.
The incident did not result in any injuries to the Russian President, but the authorities have so far made several arrests. According to news.co.au and other media agencies that covered the incident, President Putin was returning to his residence in a decoy convoy because of security concerns.

As per the sources, “On the way to the residence, a few kilometres away, the first escort car was blocked by an ambulance, the second escort car drove around without stopping (due to the) sudden obstacle, and during the detour of the obstacle,”
Demand for Vladimir Putin’s resignation
The incident happens a week after a group of St. Petersburg politicians asked the State Duma to charge Putin with state treason and remove him from power, citing several reasons such as Russia’s milatry losses in Ukraine and the economic difficulties that have arisen due to western sanctions.
Another local delegate reported that a petition she released on Monday demanding for Putin’s resignation had received 65 signatures from municipal representatives in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and several other key places.
