Every year World Teachers Day is celebrated on 05 October in different countries of the world. Interestingly, ‘Teacher’s Day’ is celebrated in most of the countries of the world, but everyone has set different days for it. Therefore, in some countries, the day of ‘Teacher’s Day’ is a holiday, but in other countries that day is a working day as usual. On this day, teachers are honored in general and certain working and retired teachers for their special contribution.
History of World Teacher’s Day:
In the year 1966, the United Nations is celebrated to remember the joint meeting of UNESCO and the International Labor Organization in which the position of teachers was discussed and suggestions were made for it. On October 05, UNESCO declared ‘International Teachers’ Day’.
So, since 1994, World Teachers’ Day is being celebrated in more than 100 countries every year.
