More about Jose Paulino Gomes

Gomes, a former animal tamer, was highly regarded as one of the modest and straightforward individuals. The secret to his long and healthy life can be credited to his natural lifestyle, valuing products from the countryside over those made in factories. He ate only things that were raised or grown nearby. He usually refrained from drinking alcohol. He lived through the events of both World Wars and three major pandemics.

Cause of Jose’s death

Jose’s cause of death was multiple organ failure, as his family stated, which was probably brought on by his advanced age. He was buried in Pedra Bonita’s Corrego dos Fialhos Cemetery on July 29.
