Zakir Naik – Indian fugitive and controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, currently visiting Pakistan, has once again ignited controversy due to his remarks made during a public event. Naik, who is in the country to deliver speeches and lead Friday prayers in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, responded to a thought-provoking question about ending violence and fostering peace between India and Pakistan with a statement that has drawn widespread attention.

A video of the event, which has gone viral on social media, shows Hindu scholar Professor Manoj Chauhan posing a question to Naik. Chauhan cited verses from the Bhagavad Gita, emphasizing the importance of following karma and duty for the betterment of society. He urged an end to violence in the name of religion and called for unity between the two neighboring countries.

Quoting Lord Krishna, Chauhan stressed, “Society is your karma bhoomi, and you will be known for your good deeds. Your work is your karma, and your karma is your dharma.”

In response, Zakir Naik controversially stated, “The master key for peace is that all must convert to Islam.” This remark has sparked heated debates online, with many calling into question Naik’s views on religious tolerance.

Naik, who fled India in 2016 and is wanted for money laundering and hate speech charges, landed in Pakistan on September 30. His visit includes a series of lectures in major cities, culminating with a final address in Islamabad on October 28. During his stay, Naik is also expected to lead Friday prayer congregations.

The remarks have once again placed Zakir Naik at the center of a broader conversation about interfaith dialogue, with many questioning the impact of his speeches on religious harmony.
